fab August 27, 2010 Elizabeth L. Ryland (Phila, PA) We adopted a child and had three days to get the house ready, so we loved the fact that we could have this overnighted to our home. We are using this as the primary bed for our little one until his furniture arrives and it is working really well. The all-in-one convenience of the changing table and bassinet are tremendous for those late night diaper changes. On the down side, the mattress does not want to lay flat in the bassinet and has 2 ridges where it was folded during shipping. The mattress also requires a bit of wrestling to put on a mattress pad/sheet. And, the wheels are just a shade wider than the unit making it impossible to move through a standard door opening without collapsing the unit, but this was relatively easy to do. I would have also liked for the mobile to be visible without the hood in use - it is hard to get the baby out of the crib without putting the hood down or the changing table up, and you don't want to have to mess with the changing table one-handed with a baby in your arms; drop the hood before getting the baby out so not a big problem. Overall this has met our needs quite well and I do recommend it.
Multi-Purpose August 9, 2010 BeatleBangs1964 (United States) This is far superior to a bassinette which is nothing but a hooded basket which babies quickly outgrow. This, on the other hand will be multi-functional long after the newborn stage. It can also be used as a play area for outdoors.
Others liked the sound machine, but that is a double edged sword. The nature sounds can be soothing, and in some cases can be loud for very cranky and/or sensitive baby. For the most part, it is an asset.
With this, you get a changing table that you can add to the side and it works like a charm. It is also an added convenience. You also get a lot of storage space for clean up work when needed.
Spacious and Great Looking August 1, 2010 michal Since I haven't had my baby yet, I can't give this 5 stars, but I think it's great so far!
I know several other reviewers complained that it didn't fit through their doors--it fit easily through mine! It does seem large, but not egregiously so, and I have wheeled it around my loft several times while rearranging rooms; it moves well and simply, and nothing has fallen off yet.
The one negative I can find is that for a portable play yard, the changing basket is really hard to get off once it is on. We had company come over after we put it together, and initially thought to just break it down and store it in a closet to save space. It proved very difficult, and we ended up just wheeling it into a different room until our guests left (but it is very mobile!).
The color combo is great and true to the picture. The puppy mobile is cute--I find myself swatting at them every time I walk past it.
All in all, I am very pleased with it. It is one of the only play yards we could find that was in a boy-appropriate color scheme without being dark and drab--just because we are having a boy doesn't mean everything needs to be blue and grey! Since we plan to use it as a bassinet for the first month or so, I will update if it fails in that regard.
Great play-yard July 16, 2010 Adolfo Gonzalez Garza Great for nap time. We have not checked all of the functions yet but are happy in general with it. The changing station is very practical and functional (it can be moved out of the way with ease). The music box has great sounds but the volume is rather low. The only 2 things we do not like is that you have to extend the "hood" of the basinet in order to be able to play with the mobile, and that it can't fit through a door without some dis-assemble.
Good stuff June 27, 2010 SomeoneCalledPrash Lightweight and easy to move around. It does get stuck in our doorway though when fully assembled though.
The music, while not really white noise, is comforting to our baby at times. The night light is a useful feature - when you want to check on the baby without waking her up. The base has a gentle ever-so-slight slope, that ensures that the baby's head is higher than the stomach.
