Best crash test ratings for the price July 10, 2010 N. A. Judge (Savannah, GA United States) We got this when our son turned 1 yr. My husband picked it up at WalMart in an "oops, I have the carseat in MY car" moment. Was very happy to read on Consumer Reports that this model of convertible car seat ranked just after the Britax ones, for a third of the price! Installation is a snap with the LATCH system in both our Sequoia and Prius, harness adjusts easily, and the cover removes fairly easily for a quick wash. My son loves the cup holder as well - he used it to transport a beetle to daycare this morning. My son weighs just over 30 lbs, so he should be in the seat at least for another year. We now have 2, one in each car, and I'm on Amazon to buy 2 more for my daughter who turns 1 yr next month. I would love to get the pink one, but I know my son would want to sit in that one...so we're going for the grey dots. All in all, a great baby buy!
Quality Comfort June 30, 2010 db At 28 months our son is still relaxing in comfort in this car seat. It was easy enough to install and it's easy to adjust. You could spend an additional $200 or more on another brand but what's the point. Your child won't know the difference. This was a great buy and the best value for our money. No complaints.
So comfy June 9, 2010 ctailquilts (arizona) We just installed and started using the graco comfort sport carseat and it is super comfy for baby. He really seems happy back there. It was easy to set up and install, however we have to use the reverse setting right now as he is not 1 year old yet, and it's a little difficult to tighten the shoulder straps in that position because the belt is against the back of the seat. Once we are able to turn it around, I don't think it will be a problem yet. I really like it.
DO NOT BUY THIS CAR SEAT! May 13, 2010 K. Hertling 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased this car seat for my one-year-old son when he was old enough to face forward and wasted my money. First, it is not secure and moved slightly even after installing it. Every time I took him out of it, it loosened the strap further and I would have to spend 10 minutes re-tightening it. I never felt it was a safe option. The buckle at the chest is cheap and difficult to fit together when my son is in the car seat. The only good thing about it is the cup holder. Once I read it had "average" crash ratings, I got rid of it and bought a BRITAX. Spend the extra money for a safe car seat and DO NOT PURCHASE THE GRACO!!!!
Perfect for a Toyota Corolla May 3, 2010 a_moayed (Arizona) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
My son outgrew his Graco infant carrier when he hit 23 lbs at 8 months. We tried several seats but had to return them because the rear-facing position caused the passenger seat to be so far forward that it wasn't safe for an actual passenger. We are a family of 4 and often travel together so we need that front seat. I spent so much time reading reviews I thought my eyes were going to bleed.
I saw this seat at Target and turned it sideways so I could compare the recline and height to all of the other seats they had on display. I was surprised to see that the seat was much more upright than other seats (not too much though), which is great because my son likes to see what's going on. I used the little level indicator on the side to be sure. The height is good and it is a really soft seat, with lots of cushioning.
The box is big but all I had to do was take it out and attach the cup holder and move the harness straps up a notch. It's very easy. Some people complained about the cup holder being difficult but there are actually 2 slots in the fabric cover that the cup holder attachments are supposed to go through so you don't have to worry about leaving that part of the cushion up. I am so happy to have found a seat that fits, looks good, and is easy to clean and use.
